What is Jesus really trying to tell us in this parable? Is he really saying it is okay to be dishonest?

Or is he telling us that if the people of this world can be shrewd and use their money to win friends and influence people, then we as children of the light can use our money so much more for God.

Pete, our Curate, talked about the nine nanas secret mission story and compared it to the Gospel of Luke chapter 16 "The dishonest manager" parable.

  1. Those with more should share with the poor.

  2. As children of the light - we should use our money for God.

  3. When we freely give, God truly delights.

Please discuss the issues.
