Bowling for Fun !!

Friday 24th June saw over 40 people, both adults and children decend on Fulwood Bowling Club on Victoria Road, some to bowl and some to spectate.

The event, advertised as Bowling for Fun !! , was excellent. The weather stayed dry, only raining as we completed the first part of the evening and everyone who wanted to bowl completed 4 "ends" and with a different partner each game and playing against a new couple (often a mixture of adults and children).

The quality of the bowling was somewhere between professional and those that would have fared better ten pin bowling! Some of the children managed better scores than some of the adults.

The evening was rounded off with a hot pot supper and apple pie and cream in the club house, followed by the presentation of the trophies to those with the highest scores. Below is a photograph of the proud prize winners (more photos to follow shortly)

The event raised approximately £ 80 and it was unanimously agreed to donate this to the Tom Wade fund. A big thank you from all that took part to the organisers for their hard work and to everyone who attended for helping to raise a little more for the fund.
